It has been a while since we shared an update here, but life at Stable Oak Cottages has been anything but quiet! While the world has changed plenty since 2019, our commitment to providing a peaceful, "just works" sanctuary in the countryside remains exactly the same.
A Legacy in the Fields
Many of you who have visited over the last decade will remember a very special member of our family—Bam, our wonderful ram. At the grand old age of ten, Bam passed away recently. He was a "little person" with a huge personality, and while the fields feel a little quieter without him, his spirit is woven into the fabric of this farm. We are so grateful for the ten years of joy he brought to us and our guests.
Coming Soon: The Neighbourly Kettle
We are over the moon to finally share some delicious news. We are currently preparing to open our very own tea room: The Neighbourly Kettle.
We’ve always believed that the best conversations happen over a proper brew and a slice of something homemade. Whether you are staying in one of our cottages or just passing through on a local walk, we want The Neighbourly Kettle to be your "home away from home."
Expect mismatched china, a warm welcome, and—of course—our signature Lemon Drizzle Cake (which a recent guest officially described as "exceptional"!).
